Below are nine scenarios that are very common in the life of a person that works out of their home. I have encountered quite a few of these throughout the years. One day people may realize that when you work out of your home…you really work!
Number one:
Your husband took a three day weekend and invited all his coworkers home to party for the entire weekend. He says, “You really have to work on Friday?”
Number two:
Your kids are off school for the summer and don’t understand why mom is too busy on the computer to take them to the mall. Hmmm…maybe she is making money to take them to the mall.
Number three:
The Parent Teacher Association is wondering why you haven’t volunteered for popcorn day in so long. You’re at stay at home parent, you should be available when they need you.
Number four:
Your distant family came to town and they’re upset that you don’t have all week to hang out with them. They say…after all you are your own boss right.
Number five:
Your three nephews are out of school for the rest of the week and you sister wants to know why you can’t baby sit because she has to work. Let’s see…SO DO I.
Number six:
Your brother wants to know if you can feed, water, and take his new puppy for a walk since you’re at home anyway. Now you’re a dog sitting service too.
Number seven:
Your husband came home from work and says to you. The kitchen is dirty what have you been doing all day? UH…Working.
Number eight:
Your best friend wants to know why you won’t stay on the phone and talk about the Jerry Springer show for hours. Multitasking is one thing talking on the phone while trying to work …another.
Number nine:
Your husband wants to know what’s so interesting on the computer that you can sit there for so long. Wow, Honey I have to work on my computer in order to get my paycheck…
